Contact Improv Workshop Series Postponed

Update from Rachel:  Hello Dancers, with hope and disappointment, we have decided to postpone the remainder of this workshop series in order to promote health and safety for our bodies, so that we may continue to dance and move for many years to come. Casco Bay Movers is still open as of this posting, however, due to the nature of contact improv being in physical contact with each other, we feel it is best to postpone and maintain social distancing standards as proposed by the CDC. Thank you for your patience and understanding. May we all be healthy, and dance through these challenging times with grace.

Dancers! Athletes! Martial Artists! Movers & Shakers! All are welcome to a Contact Improvisation class and jam for teens and adults of any skill level. Bare beginners are welcome! Incorporating touch and spontaneous collaboration, CI uses the forces of physics to explore areas of movement we could not find alone. We will explore the concepts of entering and exiting dances, points of contact, pouring and supporting weight, falling and flying, varying tone, counterbalance, and deep listening. Looking forward to dancing, moving, and playing with you!

Saturdays: February 29 through April 4
12:30-2 pm
$15/workshop or $78 for all six
PAYMENT NOTE: Cash or checks made out to the teacher–NO credit cards. Venmo is okay!
