Adult Repertory Classes

Adult students have the opportunity to perform in our Spring Concert at Westbrook Performing Arts Center on Saturday, June 15th.  Repertory classes are geared toward the experienced dancer who is wishing to expand their training by learning and performing choreography.  Participants agree to commit to the full session of weekly classes, the dress rehearsal, and performances and take an additional weekly class to support the repertory work. Please note that dancers are expected to warm up prior to the repertory classes, therefore attending the class preceding the repertory class is strongly encouraged.  Our repertory classes begin in March, as follows:

Beginner/Intermediate & Slow Intermediate – Recommended for dancers with two or more recent years of training in the dance form, and a strong understanding of the vocabulary.

Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced –For dancers with technical proficiency and a thorough understanding of the vocabulary.

Repertory Classes –  Repertory Classes are offered in the fall and spring sessions in both Hip Hop and Modern/Jazz/Contemporary Forms.  Repertory classes are geared toward the experienced dancer who is wishing to expand their training by learning and performing choreography.  Participants agree to commit to the full session of weekly classes, the dress rehearsal, and performances and take an additional weekly class to support the repertory work.

*Spring Repertory Classes begin Monday and Tuesday, March 9/10th.  Dress rehearsals and performances will be held on June 19th and 20th at Westbrook Performing Arts Center. ($225)

Class Attire:

Adult dancers are invited to dress in any dance or athletic wear that allows a full range of movement and that they feel most comfortable in.  Dressing in layers, especially during the cold weather months, is recommended.

Footwear recommendations by dance form – Ballet: cotton socks or ballet shoes.  Jazz:  bare feet, cotton socks or jazz shoes/jazz sneakers.  Hip Hop:  sneakers designated for indoor use only.  Tap:  tap shoes with a low heel and full sole are recommended, especially for beginner and beg/inter classes.  Modern:  bare feet or cotton socks. (Nylon or synthetic socks tend to be very slippery on the dance floors!)

For your convenience, CBM sells Revolution Dancewear clothing and shoes to order.  We also highly recommend Petite Jete Dance Boutique in Brunswick.  http://petitjetedance.com/
